MASSIF OF ENNEDI
Rich in cave paintings, path of prehistory, exploring this high
plateau with its lunar landscapes, will make dream any adventurer
of the unexplored deserts.
To the foot of these gigantic walls, hundreds of camels come to
be watered with water of the gueltas (ARCHEÏ). But the most fascinating
moment is when the yellow of the sea of sand (Depression of Mourdi)
joins the metal and magic blue of the lakes of OUNIANGA. However
the final surprise remains the slow, infinite and sensual progression
on the erg of Bembéché.

1. TOURISTIC ASPECTS
Barh el Gazal and approach of the desert Massif of Ennedi, full
with cave paintings around Guelta Archeï with its famous survivors
of crocodiles. Saltworks of DEMI Sand Dunes in the depression
of Mourdi where blows the Harmattan Superb lakes of OUNIANGA SEKHIR
and KEBIR And finally the famous plain of Bembéché which makes
think of infinite ski slopes, before the entry of the large OASIS
of FAYA.
2. ITINERARY IN 12 (or 15) DAYS
1 PARIS-NDJAMENA-HOTEL.
2 Departure to Moussoro, night stop around SALAL.
3 Head for East, towards OUMCHALOUBA, crossing of a SAHEL-DESERT
area, rich in herds of GAZELLES.
4/5 Plateau of Ennedi in sight, visit of innumerable cave paintings
and walks from GUELTA to GUELTA, between the ones of TERKEÏ, OUNI
and ARCHEI.
6 Exploration of Guelta of ARCHEÏ and arrival to the beautiful
Fortress of FADA.
7 North-western Direction to the depression of Mourdi, with its
indescribable landscapes, its interminable sand dunes.
8 Saltworks of DEMI and suddenly, to the great astonishment of
all, emerge the lakes of OUNIANGA.
9/10 Going down to the OASIS of FAYA, after a splendid panorama offered
by the BEMBECHE.
11 Return by the erg of Djourab and Salal.
12 Moussoro then Djaména and departure on the evening to PARIS.
